Sacraments at Cathedral
“We shall always place education side by side with instruction; the mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart. While we prepare useful citizens for society, we shall likewise do our utmost to prepare citizens for heaven.” - Blessed Basil Moreau
At Cathedral High School, the sacraments are central to our mission of educating hearts and minds. Rooted in the Holy Cross tradition, we offer students regular opportunities to participate in the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation, with school-wide Masses, daily chapel services, and penance services. Members of the campus ministry team are always available to counsel students on matters both big and small.
At Cathedral, our sacramental life helps students grow in their relationship with Christ and live out their faith with purpose and conviction.

Eucharist
Mass is offered twice each school day in the Chapel, before school and during a lunch period. Cathedral gathers together as one for all-school Masses multiple times throughout the year.
Religion classes, clubs, and sports teams will routinely schedule their own Masses to celebrate as a team/group.
Parents and other members of the Cathedral community are welcome to attend all Masses.

Adoration
Eucharistic adoration is where students can spend time in prayer and contemplation before the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration allows the Cathedral family to be physically present with Christ and deepen one's relationship with God through prayer and reflection.
In addition to daily adoration in the chapel, all-school adoration is held at the start of finals week to allow students a chance to pray and reflect before final exams.

Reconciliation
Cathedral focus on educating the hearts and minds of her students. Reconciliation allows students to be forgiven for their sins and prepare for eternal life in heaven.
Reconciliation is a private sacrament, with just you and priest in the room. Priests will also counsel students during reconciliation to help them grow and deepen their faith.
