Senior Parent Info

Senior Retreat: Seniors are highly encouraged, but not required to attend one of the five senior retreats Cathedral offers. The fee to attend is included in your student fees. Please contact Campus Ministry for more information about signing up.

Senior Picnic: The senior picnic will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at 6:30 pm outside of Door 1 in the S Lot.

Senior Portraits: Senior portraits will be taken on campus on our school picture days, August 20 and 21. On those days, seniors should dress up for their picture which is taken during Religion class. For gentlemen, this includes a shirt and tie (suit jacket or sport coat is suggested but not required). Please keep in mind Christian modesty. 

Archdiocese of Indianapolis Senior Mass: On Wednesday, December 4th, the seniors will be celebrating Mass at Saint Malachy with seniors from the other  Archdiocesan High Schools.

Ordering Graduation Materials: Herff Jones will meet with seniors in January and distribute order forms. A representative from Herff Jones will be available during lunch later to collect forms and payment.

Diplomas: Diplomas will be ordered in February. If your child's name is not accurate on PowerSchool, please e-mail Katie Lewis (klewis@gocathedral.com) by February 1st. Diplomas are issued only to those who have completed all requirements for graduation and have met all financial obligations as well as all other school responsibilities including the completion of the St. Brother Andre Project.

Senior Yearbook Ads: Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2025 are invited to purchase an ad for their senior that will appear in the 2024/25 yearbook. Information on how to purchase an ad will be shared soon. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to yearbook moderator Marc Quaranta at  mquaranta@gocathedral.com. Senior ads are due April 1!

Prom: Prom will be held in April. A date and location are being finalzied.

Service Requirement: Seniors are required to fulfill their St. Brother Andre Project by December 1st of their senior year. The St. Brother Andre project is a graduation requirement for both Cathedral High School and the State of Indiana.

Graduation Practice: Practice occurs the week before Graduation and is held at Cathedral. At this time, the class moderators will be reading the names of the students. If you are concerned about the pronunciation of your child's name, please have them email a video to Katie Lewis with the correct pronunciation (klewis@gocathedral.com).

Baccalaureate Mass: This is a Mass held on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. Students need to be on campus by 5:30 p.m. They are to line up on the second floor of the Innovation Center. Mass will be in the Welch Activity Center. The Cathedral National Honor Society is hosting cookies in the courtyard at 7:30 p.m. We invite you to grab a cookie and enjoy taking photos on our beautiful campus!

Dress for seniors for Baccalaureate Mass- Seniors should be dressed in their Sunday best; seniors will wear their gown during Mass (but not their cap). Seniors should look nice (i.e. pants, shirt and tie for men and a light-colored dress for the women). Attire should follow Christian Modesty and be appropriate for Mass. Students may not wear stoles/cords unless they are for NHS or Summa/Magna/Cum Laude. We encourage parents to wear these additional stoles or cords if they would like. 

Graduation: Graduation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Fishers Event Center (1100 Stockdale Street, Fishers, IN 46037). Families will automatically receive 7 tickets each. Because this is a larger venue, each student can request up to 10 additional tickets. If you would like to request more tickets, please fill out this Google Form.

Dress for seniors for Graduation- Seniors should be dressed in their Sunday best (i.e. pants, shirt and tie for men and a light-colored dress for the women). Attire should follow Christian Modesty and be appropriate for Mass. Seniors will wear both their caps and gowns for graduation. Your cap may NOT be decorated and you may not wear stoles/cords unless they are for NHS or Summa/Magna/Cum Laude. We encourage parents to wear these additional stoles or cords if they would like. Your tassel should be on the right side. 

Doors open at 5:30 pm. It is important to note that we do not have the ability to let anyone in the building before 5:30 pm. This includes using the restrooms, extreme heat, cold, or rainy conditions. Please understand that this is the venue's policy and is completely out of our control. If you plan to arrive early, please plan ahead. No outside food or beverages may be brought into the venue.  Concessions will be available for purchase (card only - no cash). 

Students should arrive at 5:30 in their caps and gowns. The attire is the same for graduation as for the Baccalaureate Mass. Everyone, including graduates, needs a ticket. Each student will be issued tickets to distribute to their family. Seating is first-come, first-served. Handicapped seating is available and ushers will be available to help find those locations. Graduation normally lasts a little short of two hours.

Please take most of your photos before the ceremony. There will be limited opportunities after graduation.Caps and Gowns: The gowns are rented by the students and must be returned immediately after the ceremony to receive their diploma. Students may keep their caps and tassels. Caps and gowns will be passed out during the school day in early May.
