Whether you can help a little or a lot, strong volunteer support throughout the year will help us be successful in fulfilling our mission to serve Cathedral's faculty, staff and students. When you invest your time, you're also investing in your child's future.

Below are some of the many ways you can get involved. If an area or committee interests you, please sign up here. There is no limit!

Digital and Social Communication: Ensure content on the Cathedral Mothers Club website is current. Post event details on Cathedral's website, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Submit information for Parent Newsletter. Provide communication support to Executive Board as needed.

Librarian/Record Keeper: Maintain historical files. Capture and consolidate event after action reports (written by event chairperson).

Annual Dinner or Speaker Event: Event planning for annual dinner including securing location,  guest speaker, and menu selection.

Social Outings: Help plan, organize and implement occasional social outings for members (e.g. shopping trip, paint/pottery, spa day, etc.). 

Teacher Grants: Reviewing grant applications, providing feedback and meeting with school administration to determine how Mothers Club funds will be used. Grants are awarded in March.

Faculty/Staff Christmas Luncheon: Serve on committee with other volunteers to plan and organize the annual Christmas luncheon for the faculty and staff. Responsibilities include: menu planning with caterer, event  set up and decorations, and soliciting raffle items and desserts for the luncheon. 

Evening of Reflection: Plan and organize an evening religious reflection event.

Used Uniform Sale: Organize and help sell used uniforms and spirit wear. Usually two-three events per year (Spring, Back to School, and Late-Fall/Early Winter) About a three or four hour commitment per event.

Teacher Appreciation: Plan special events for the teachers. Previous activities have included a coffee bar, sweets-n-treats, and letters from students. Event is usually one week in May.

Baccalaureate Reception: Order napkins, cheese, crackers, fruit and prepare lemonade/water, plus coordinate with cafeteria staff to platter mentioned snacks for post baccalaureate mass reception. 

General Volunteers: Volunteers: Assist with receptions and other activities as needed throughout the year including Cathedral's birthday celebration, open house, holiday tree trimming, and prom, etc.
