|What happens during Onboarding?||
During Onboarding, your child will:
- Go through iPad setup with Filewave, which involves installing a profile that allows Cathedral to manage the iPad.
- Receive accounts that gives them access to many of the resources they will need during the school year. The accounts your child will be set up with during Onboarding include:

Their Google account needs to be set-up prior to Onboarding. Detailed instructions for set-up will be emailed to you in the month of May.
Who should participate on Onboarding?
New students (including transfer students) and freshman for the 2020-2021 school year are required to participate in Onboarding.
How to prepare for Onboarding:
In order to prepare for the Onboarding process, please make sure your child has their own Apple iTunes account set up and they know the username and password for this account. You will also want to make sure that any data from the apps they may have installed on their iPad has been backed up. For step-by-step instructions on how to backup app data, click here. Your child will also need to have set-up their Cathedral High School email account. Parents will receive instructions for setting up the email account on
Onboarding Process for the 2020-2021 School Year:
For this school year, freshman students and transfer students students will be enrolled in a Schoology course which will provide step-by-step written directions, and video guides on how to get their iPad Onboarded. Students taking summer school will need to complete this process before the first day of summer school, which begins on June 2. Non-summer school freshman or transfer students will need to complete this course before the first day of school.
Parents will receive an email from Cathedral on May 11 that will help them prepare Onboarding and summer school. The Schoology course will be open and available for students to complete the week of May 25.
