Student Fundraiser FAQ

Yes.

Cathedral recognizes that having multiple children participating in the student fundraiser at one time can potentially be challenging for a family. The following multi student adjustments has been instituted:
2 students - $400 family fundraising goal ($200/student. Out of uniform earned after student raises $100)
3+ students -$500 tickets fundraising goal ($500 divided by the number of students. Spirit wear shirt/jeans/sweatpants earned after student raises half of their individual goal)

Please try and raise as much money as you can. Then if you are still unsuccessful, see Mr. Howard Fogel  or Mrs. Jean Smith and they will attempt to assist students and provide them resources to fundraise. If you choose to not participate in the student fundraiser then students will be required to participate in the Philanthropy Day which will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

Also - don't forget that students can earn up to $30 credit toward their goal by donating gently new or used coats for Coats for Kids or bringing in specific non-perishable items for the Cathedral Food Pantry. 

Each coat (maximum of 3) earns $10 in credit while $10 in credit can also be earned for bringing in 5 items from THIS LIST.

Should you wish to not ask family and friends to support your fundraising efforts and just contribute at least $250, you may do so by making the total donation on your students personal fundraising page. 

The goal of the student fundraiser is to support the tuition assistance program which impacts nearly than 55% of Cathedral students AND to allow students to allocate a portion of their fundraising to support up to two clubs/sports/student activities of their choice. Each student must complete the Student Activity Selection Form to indicate which organizations they are supporting. Should students not complete the form, 100% of the money they raised will go to support tuition assistance.  

Absolutely! Anyone can contribute to this student fundraiser by making their donations online. 

Of course! There are awesome prizes that can be earned for your participation.

• Raise at least $250 - earn a FREE DAY from school on Wednesday, October 19th.
• Once you've reached the half way mark to your goal ($125) - wear jeans/sweatpants/yoga pants and spirit wear shirt through October 7th.
• The top student fundraiser - earns a $500 prize for the student activity of their choosing.
• The 2nd place student fundraiser - earns a $250 prize for the student activity of their choosing.
• The 3rd place student fundraiser - earns a $100 prize for the student activity of their choosing.
• The E period class with the highest % to goal - prizes will be awarded throughout the fundraiser.

That's great! Simply give the check to Mr. Fogel or Mrs. Smith (with your name in the memo) and it will be applied to your online fundraising page. 

You sure can! Simply contact Mrs. Smith and tell her the amount of your higher goal so she can adjust your personal fundraising page.
