Relieving Food Insecurity at Cathedral
While we often talk about 35% of our student population receiving need-based financial aid, we sometimes neglect to share that approximately 70 of Cathedral's current students also receive a healthy breakfast and lunch, at no charge to them, each day. Food insecurity is a very real issue for some of our teens as well as the fear of stigma that comes with it. Because providing meals to our students is such an important part in not only nourishing their bodies but also supporting their mental health we hope to raise at least half of the cost through our Fund-A-Need this year. Annually this assistance costs Cathedral up to $120,000 making our goal $60,000.
