At Cathedral, we have unfailingly majestic dreams that become reality through the hard work and perseverance of the family as a whole. It is that dogged determination that fueled the realization of one such dream - the Shamrock Scholars Program.

A specific portion of all annual giving at Cathedral, the Shamrock Scholars Program was created by and for alumni and friends who wanted more than a way to give - they wanted a chance to change a life. Shamrock Scholar grantors choose to provide a quarter, half or full need-based tuition assistance scholarship for a student for the duration of their time at Cathedral (generally four years).

While the Financial Aid Committee at Cathedral High School chooses recipients for tuition grants based upon financial need and other criteria set forth by the donor, we encourage such supporters to meet the students they assist and, in some cases, develop mentoring relationships. These relationships can have a life-changing impact on both the student and the benefactor.

Your gift does make a difference. Not only is the difference felt by the students receiving the financial assistance, but also by a student body molded by the mission of diversity that has continued since 1918. Undoubtedly, some students would not be able to afford Cathedral tuition, and certainly Cathedral would not exist as she does today without them.

Every tuition assistance grant makes an impact. Prayerfully consider the difference you could make today with your gift to the Shamrock Scholars Program.
