What is unique about a Holy Cross education?
Part of the tradition of a Holy Cross education is educating both the hearts and minds. This is just one piece of what makes a Holy Cross education, to learn more about our core values please click for more information.

Sophomore Day of Recollection

  • Each Sophomore Theology class will spend a day off campus in this mandatory retreat held at either Brunette Park or Laurel Hall.
  • Theme: Opening the Doors to the Core Values
  • The Sophomore Day of Recollection builds on earlier teachings and gives sophomores an outlet to discuss how the Holy Cross Core Values can make a difference in their lives. Using the example of the humble beginnings of St. Andre Bessette, sophomores learn that even small acts of kindness can have great impact.
  • Lead by trained senior leaders and campus ministry staff and theology faculty.

Sophomores meet in the Welch Activity Center (WAC) lobby on their assigned day (no later than 7:30 a.m.)  Dress is casual - jeans (no shorts, skirts, or leggings) and a t-shirt that displays Christian modesty (no tank tops, low cut blouses, etc). Students will be bussed to Laurel Hall and Brunette Park, returning by the end of the school day. Lunch will be provided.
