Cathedral athletics programs are some of the best in the state, if not in the nation. We instill in our students the desire and ability to be the best—in the classroom and on the field of play.
Leadership, teamwork and commitment are just a few of the skills students can learn by being part of an athletic team and those lessons translate directly to the classroom. Commitment. Discipline. Teamwork. At Cathedral, academic excellence and athletic excellence go hand-in-hand. Over 400 Cathedral students participated in IHSAA sports and those students had an average GPA of 3.58. Many additional students were involved in club sports such as lacrosse, cheerleading, boys volleyball and rugby, bringing home city, state, and even a national championship.
Cathedral athletics has announced its safety guidelines for a return to play policy this fall. After consulting with local health officials and the IHSAA, the following guidelines have been released. These policies will continously be updated as more guidance is provided by the IHSAA and local and state health officials.
