Cathedral is proud to offer a diverse and dynamic range of visual arts classes, allowing students to explore multiple disciplines within the visual arts. Whether pursuing a personal passion or simply trying something new, students are encouraged to discover and develop artistic talents that can enrich their lives well beyond high school.

Our visual arts curriculum includes opportunities to work in 2D, 3D, and digital media. Students begin with foundational courses that provide essential techniques, principles of design, and art history context. From there, they can progress to advanced classes that challenge them to refine their skills, express their individuality, and create professional-quality work.

In addition to hands-on studio work, Cathedral art students often have opportunities to showcase their artwork through school exhibitions, competitions, and community art initiatives. These experiences foster creativity, critical thinking, and confidence; skills that are valuable in any career path.
