At Cathedral High School, the Theatre Department is more than just a stage, it’s a vibrant community where students come alive through performance, storytelling, and collaboration. Rooted in the school’s mission of educating hearts and minds,  CaTheatre empowers students to grow in confidence, creativity, and character.

The CaTheatre program nurtures a love for the performing arts while teaching lifelong lessons that be used both on and off the stage. Students of all experience levels can explore their talents, find their voices, and shine both onstage and behind the scenes. Students will receive expert training and advice as CaTheatre partners with local professionals for all productions.

Cathedral graduates have become award winning actors on the stage or serve key roles in the crew on Broadway, Hollywood, or local TV. Other students will pursue a different career but still join their local theatre on nights and weekends.

CaTheatre is excited to announce our 2026-2027 theatre season! Next year’s lineup features adventure, humor, and unforgettable music.

Alice the Brave by Tommy Jamerson (Kids Show, Directed by Maeve Bigelow and Lucas Weiland).   A fresh and imaginative retelling inspired by the world of Wonderland, this play follows Alice on a courageous journey of self-discovery, friendship, and finding her voice in a chaotic world.

Pride and Prejudice by Kate Hamill
Jane Austen’s classic novel comes to life in this fast-paced and witty adaptation full of humor, heart, and lively characters as Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy navigate love, family, and first impressions.

The Lottery- written by rising senior Kira Lee (Rookie Showcase directed by Sophia Ehinger and Rob Blackwell)

A girl from a small and close-knit community wins a bunch of money from the Grand National Lottery. Everyone's excited to see her win, and they're even more excited to see how she spends that money. The story follows Phoebe Anderson as the neighbors she once knew to be kind and caring become obsessed with getting their hands on some of her cash.

Anastasia: The Musical
This sweeping musical follows a young woman searching for her identity and family in post-revolutionary Russia. Filled with stunning music, adventure, and romance, Anastasia is a story about hope, home, and discovering who you are meant to be.
