Greatness is Calling at Cathedral
Hear from alumni and past parents about how Cathedral transforms the hearts and minds of her students.
"Cathedral prepared me for my path in the military by teaching me always to challenge myself and constantly raise my personal standards. I carried these lessons along with the faith-driven principles throughout the United States Naval Academy and even now as a Marine Corps Officer."

"The faculty and staff at Cathedral have prepared me not only to succeed academically and athletically but have also helped form me into a more complete leader and person. Cathedral provided me with the environment to grow into who I am today. The experience in electives like broadcasting and newspaper helped me find my passions and potential career path."

Why did the Schopper family drive over 20 miles each way for eleven years to attend high school? The key word in that sentence is family. The family describes that while their kids were strong students, they wanted more than just academics—they wanted a school that nurtured their individual strengths. When their oldest was in 8th grade, they carefully considered each child’s unique needs.
"Cathedral’s rigorous academics and diverse course offerings stood out. The college advisors genuinely counsel students, guiding them through critical decisions. At the time, Cathedral checked most of our boxes. Looking back, we wouldn’t hesitate to make the same choice for another eleven years. Why? As beloved teacher Howard Fogel once said in a commencement speech: 'It’s who we are. It’s what we do.'"
