Placement Test

Taking the Placement Test

Each applicant for freshman admission must take the STS High School Placement Test as part of the application process. The test is administered on Saturday mornings from 8:30-11:30am.

2026 Fall Testing Dates

  • September 19
  • October 24
  • December 5

Prospective students can also take the test during our HSPT Academy in the summer.

For Parents: Coffee with Cathedral!

While students are taking the placement test on each Saturday date, we offer a gathering for parents/guardians called "Coffee with Cathedral" that is designed to share valuable information about academics, counseling, and more. This gathering begins at 8:30 a.m. The Admissions Team will direct parents to this location on the morning of the placement test.
