Learning Support Program

Our mission is to nurture student achievement with data-informed, individualized support in preparation for college and career success. 

Students are assigned a case manager immediately upon enrollment. Your child’s case manager is responsible for ensuring special education services and supports are in place. Case managers also serve as educators in the Learning Resource Center, providing academic interventions and support during resource periods for students with plans. 

Prospective families: please include your child’s most recent education plan (SP, CSEP, or IEP) and academic evaluation when completing the application.

A 504 plan provides specific accommodations, which allow a student with a qualifying disability to access the curriculum. This type of  plan differs from a special education plan, such as a SP, CSEP, or IEP. The student must have a health impairment that limits life activities, including (but not limited to) food allergies, asthma, diabetes, anxiety, ADHD, or gastrointestinal disorders. 

To determine whether your child qualifies for a 504 plan, an evaluation that includes medical documentation (provided by parent/guardian), educator feedback, and student classroom observation is conducted. Once the evaluation is complete, the multidisciplinary team meets to determine the best plan for the student. 

A bright, welcoming space located in historic Loretto Hall. Designed to meet the needs of Learning Support Program students, the LRC includes quiet areas for testing accommodations, academic interventions, small group resource classes, and 1:1 meetings.

Language Support English is an instructional pathway designed for students with language-based learning disabilities. All Language Support English classes are capped at 14 students and taught by educators trained in the science of reading with extra support for comprehension and written expression.

  • A course designed to bolster students’ phonemic awareness, phonics, and morphology skills through structured, sequential, multisensory instruction

  • A course designed to prepare students for AP-level English coursework by providing explicit instruction in reading and writing strategies
