May is Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it comes at a crucial time as students face the pressures of end-of-year exams, projects, and transitions. We know this can be a stressful but exciting season for high schoolers, and as parents, your support plays a vital role in helping them navigate it. Please take a moment to check in with your teen—encourage healthy routines like sleep, exercise, and breaks from screens, and remind them that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes. If you notice signs of high stress and anxiety, don’t hesitate to reach out to the school social worker or your student’s counselor. We’re here to support both students and families through this busy time. As we venture into the summer months, let’s carry forward some ideas of mindfulness and prayer for all students to utilize. Additionally, practices like mindfulness—such as deep breathing, meditation, or simply taking a few moments of quiet reflection—can help your teen stay grounded. Prayer is also a comforting and calming way to find strength and focus during stressful moments. Let’s work together to ensure students feel supported and equipped to handle the challenges ahead.

Please click the link to fill out the Social Work Parent Referral form if you feel as though your student needs extra support!
