Cathedral By The Numbers
Accreditation
Cathedral is accredited by the state of Indiana and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States.
Enrollment
1,100 students in grades 9 through 12 from Marion County and nine other Central Indiana counties. Students attended approximately 130 different schools before entering Cathedral.
Faculty
81 faculty members have an average of more than 18 years of teaching experience, with the majority holding master's degrees.
Academics
There are 11 academic departments providing more than 188 course offerings. Three instructional levels are offered-honors, academic and college preparatory-as well as honors-level independent study in nearly all disciplines. A special emphasis is placed on technology in the classroom.
The Learning Resource Center incorporating Cathedral's renowned Language Support Program, is available to meet the needs of students with diagnosed learning differences who are preparing for college. In this program, courses are taught at the academic level of instruction with appropriate accommodations.

Grading Scale and GPA
The grade point average is computed by dividing the total grade points each semester by the number of classes taken which carry grade points. Courses not taken at Cathedral High School are not included in this computation. Honors courses, which are significantly more demanding, are weighted (see below).
As of Fall 2005, Cathedral High School does NOT rank its students.
