Cathedral High School Announces Tuition Freeze, Plans for Innovation Center

As Cathedral High School begins her next century, President Rob Bridges is excited to share two major announcements: a tuition freeze for the 2019/20 school year and the design phase of a new Innovation Center.

"We have a great deal of momentum as a result of our capital campaign," says Bridges. "Thanks to the generosity of our Cathedral community, families can rest assured students will receive the same exceptional, faith-based education next year that they've always received and not have to worry about an increase in tuition."

Bridges confirms a tuition freeze next year does not mean a huge tuition hike in 2020/21. "Cathedral High School is committed to keeping our school as affordable as possible by either continuing the tuition freeze over multiple years or by keeping any increases as low as possible."

Cathedral's Board of Directors approves the school's tuition each year. The Board approved the 2019/20 tuition freeze at its January meeting, keeping Cathedral's tuition at $15,765.

Cathedral is in the final months of the largest capital campaign in her history, $25 million. To date, Cathedral has raised $23,250,000. The design phase of the new, $12 million Innovation Center is set to begin soon. The anticipated completion date is the Fall of 2021.

"As technology continues to drive our world, students need the best educational options in the fields of engineering, computer programming, robotics, science, and design," Bridges says. "This premier facility will push Cathedral to the forefront of education with a space that not only promotes interdisciplinary learning and exploration, but also enhances our approach to science and innovation."

Cathedral High School celebrated her 100th anniversary on September 13, 2018. As the only Holy Cross high school in the state of Indiana, Cathedral has a rich tradition of excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics.

"While extremely proud of our tradition, we are focused on achieving our bold and transformational vision and remain committed to serve as the Catholic high school of the future," Bridges says. "This is an exciting time to be part of the Cathedral family."
