Boys Track Wins City Title; Hocker Sets City Record in 800 Meter Race

 

The boys track team won their 3rd straight city championship, winning 9 events overall. The meet was highlighted by Cole Hocker '19 setting the city record for the 800 with a time of 1 minute, 50.64 seconds. The previous record was 1:53.20 by Chris Buhler in 1075. Hocker's time was also the second fastest in the nation.

The Irish won with a score of 174 points from nine event wins.

The girls track team finished second with 119 points. Alexis Parchman won the 400 meter race in 26 seconds. Myjah Mintze and Kennedy Miller finished 1-2 in the 100 meter race.
