Cathedral High School proudly congratulates Andrew Kinder '22 on receiving the 2023 Tyler Trent Courage and Resilience Award at Purdue University! Tyler Trent inspired the country throughout his courageous battle with cancer. The Tyler Trent Courage and Resilience Award is presented to a Purdue undergraduate who has encountered serious physical adversity in pursuing a higher education. Andrew was diagnosed with leukemia during his junior year at Cathedral. He is now a sophomore at Purdue.
As part of his award, Andrew is receiving a $5,000 scholarship. He says, "Adversity is only temporary. It's gonna be hard for a little bit. But there's always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what happens."
