Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

It may be hard to believe, but we've completed three quarters of the 2022/23 school year! Thank you for partnering with us as we ensure the success of our students as they answer the call to greatness.

Once we return from spring break on Monday, April 3, the remainder of the school year will seem to fly by at warp speed. Please make sure you are reading all communication from Cathedral. This is especially true for the Class of 2023. All Senior Class Information will be updated weekly in this newsletter and on the website. New information was added today, including details about the Senior Mass and Awards Ceremony on April 27. Again, all of the details are on the Senior Class Information page on the website. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about year-end activities. I'm always available to answer any questions you may have.

I pray that our students make good choices during spring break and stay safe! Whether you are staying close to home, hitting the road, or taking to the friendly skies, you and your family are in my prayers.

God bless, and Go Irish!
Julie Barthel
Principal

Pride of the Irish Performs in Ireland

The Cathedral Pride of the Irish was invited to march in two parades in Ireland last week, and 171 people from Cathedral made the trip. This photo was captured in Cobh, which included a standing performance at the Titanic's last port of call. The other performance was in Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Parade! Special thanks to Band Director Kathy McCullough for providing once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our students and families. To check out the band in the parade, click this link. You'll want to fast forward to 1:28:34 to catch our band. You can also see more pictures and videos on the band's Facebook page. Great job, Pride of the Irish!

Current Parent News

We had an incredibly competitive season, appropriately concluding on Pi Day! Going into the final contest, senior Cade Johnston and sophomore Reece Bonhomme were tied for the top spot on the leaderboard. On the final test, Reece scored a perfect 6, edging out Cade by one point.
