Dear Cathedral Parents and Guardians,
It's hard to believe next week is Thanksgiving! We certainly have much to be thankful for on the Hill, starting with our outstanding students, families, and gifted educators!
We are blessed to have a lovely campus nestled on a beautiful Hill. But as safe and secure as we feel on the Hill, we know we must prepare for all scenarios, then pray that we'll never have to put our planning into action. To that end, we will have an active shooter drill on the morning of Friday, December 2. This "Run, Hide, Fight" exercise is part of our comprehensive safety plan and another layer of our protocols to keep our campus safe.
Also, since I will not send a Parent Newsletter next week, I'd like to share the finals schedule with you.

Congratulations to all of our Cathedral Mathletes who braved the cold and dark to come to school early for our second Indiana Math League competition of the year. We are anxiously awaiting statewide results for this contest, as Cathedral is in fourth place in the state and first place in Marion County after the first contest.
Great news! We have an additional outdoor nativity scenes for sale.
|Thank you and congratulations to the students who participated in the first round of the American Mathematics Competition Series on November 10. Even though this test is very difficult, these students accepted their invitation to come to school early and take it.|
The Dads' Club last project of the first semester is Saturday, November 19, from 8 a.m. to noon. The dads will be setting up Christmas decorations around campus.

There’s one more long-term ramp closure to watch for in the next few weeks. The on-ramp from 56th Street/Shadeland Avenue to northbound I-465 will be closing through 2024.
Absolutely no out-of-uniform sweatshirts should be worn on campus during the school day. Students may wear coats/jackets in the hallways and while walking from building to building, but they should not be worn in class. Seniors are the only students allowed to wear college sweatshirts during the school day.
Students who get sick during the school day and wish to go home must check out with the school nurse before leaving campus with a parent or guardian.
As we continue to find ways to improve traffic flow on the Hill, we are making a slight change to the after-school bus location.
The Technology Support Center is activating a two-factor Google email procedure for our students. This extra security feature will be another layer of protection for Cathedral families.
