The Indianapolis division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) is once again inviting graduating seniors to apply for scholarships. More than 90 Catholic high school students have received this award since its founding in 1985.
Principal's Message
Dear Cathedral Parents and Guardians,
Happy 2025! I pray all of you had a restful and beautiful Christmas and enjoyed your time away from the Hill.
Inclement weather forced us to alter our first day of J-Term, so I hope all of you stayed safe and warm at home on Monday. As a reminder, we use several modes of communication to alert our families about weather-related closings and delays: email, text, our website, social media, and local television stations. Please contact our Director of Technology, Jim Wilkinson, at jwilkinson@gocathedral.com if you are not receiving texts.
Our excellent and innovative educators are enjoying J-Term with your students! J-Term allows educators to share gifts they don't always get to showcase in the classroom. As a result, our students often discover new gifts and interests. This week's courses include Art Museum of Indiana, College Exploration, DECA - A Business Plan Competition, Early Childhood Education, Glass Arts Indiana, Intro to 3D Printing, and more! We also have students and educators who are traveling this week. J-Term international trips include Costa Rica, Ecuador-Galapagos Islands, England/France/Germany, and Rome. We also have a group on a service learning trip in Kenya! In addition, our vocal performance students are experiencing small group and private instruction during a fabulous trip to New York City! Our freshmen are having a great week learning about "The Cathedral Way" during their Freshmen Experience J-Term. And we have close to 70 seniors who are experiencing their Senior Retreat this week. Click here to view the complete list of J-Term courses. Please keep all our students and educators in your prayers, especially those returning to Indiana soon.
The spring semester will fly by, especially for the Class of 2025. I strongly urge parents of our seniors to watch emails closely and keep an eye on our website's Senior Parent Info page. Please note representatives from Herff Jones will be on campus on Thursday, January 16, to distribute order forms for graduation. Also, as a reminder, Baccalaureate Mass is Sunday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Welch Activity Center. Graduation is Monday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fishers Event Center, 1100 Stockdale Street in Fishers. God bless the Class of 2025!
I hope all of you enjoy these last few days of J-Term before we officially start the spring semester. As a reminder, students who have been away from campus since December may have misplaced their lanyards. Be sure your student has their lanyard for school on Monday. Also, please be aware that your child's class schedule may have changed from last semester. Please have your child check their schedule to ensure no teacher or class period changes. Let's make this another fantastic semester on the Hill!
"May the God of hope fill you with all the joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." - Romans 15:13
God bless, and Go Irish!

J-Term Journey to Costa Rica
Several of our students and three of their awesome educators (Mrs. Egan, Mrs. Hovanec, and Mrs. Jamell) are immersing themselves in the Spanish language and opening their hearts and minds to a new culture in Costa Rica.
Current Parent News
Cathedral will be implementing a new drop off zone for our morning arrivals. Effective January 21, upon arrival, parents are asked to have their student(s) exit the vehicles once they are located between the Welch Activity Center (WAC) Door #2 and the Main entrance Door #4.
As we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, returning families can now submit an online application for need-based financial aid via Clarity, the new platform for tuition assistance.
As a reminder, you still have time to purchase and create a Class of 2025 Senior Ad.
Our friends at St. Matthew are looking for volunteers to help with their upcoming fish fry nights.
We are blessed to have so many generous donors who make it possible for 512 students on tuition assistance and/or merit-based scholarship to attend Cathedral High School.
