What is the purpose of the Cathedral Circle of Excellence?

The Cathedral Circle of Excellence honors those select persons who have perpetuated the good name of Cathedral High School by exhibiting Holy Cross values in making their significant, substantial and long-standing contribution to Cathedral or to their city, state, country or global community.

How many nominees will be selected each year?

After the inaugural year in celebration of Cathedral's Centennial Anniversary, a maximum of 5 nominees will be selected each year.

What is the timeframe when a person is eligible for induction into the Circle of Excellence?

Alumni - accomplishments made as a student: 5 years after graduation

Alumni - accomplishments made post graduation: 10 years after graduation

Faculty, Staff, Administrators or Coaches: 10 years of service or five years after employment ends

Community Contributors: 15 years of service/association with the school

What if I am unable to submit an electronic nomination?

Please email circleofexcellence@gocathedral.com or call 317-968-7333 to request a hard copy of the nomination form.

What is the deadline for nominations?

The nomination deadline for induction in the Cathedral Circle of Excellence induction class of 2020 will be announced in the fall of 2019.

When will inductees be announced for 2019?

The first class with be announced in summer 2019.

When is the induction ceremony?

Tentatively, inductees will be honored annually at the Cathedral Fund Dinner. For 2019, the dinner is scheduled for Thursday, October 3rd.

How long does my nominee stay in the running for induction?

All nominees not selected this year will be held for consideration for the next year's induction class. Nominators should NOT submit a completely new nomination package but may submit additional letters of recommendation. Letters should be sent to circleofexcellence@gocathedral.com with the nominee's name in the subject line. Any additional letters of recommendation must be received prior to the close of each year's nomination window.
