International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme

More than 70 Cathedral teachers have trained throughout the United States and Canada in the IB curriculum, which included curriculum planning and examination, and counseling and research in best practices. 

Extensive College Preparation

Cathedral graduates attend universities throughout the world and the International Baccalaureate Diploma is recognized internationally and does ensure that the student is prepared for the rigorous college demands. Students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme must successfully complete a rigorous curriculum which includes six areas of concentration:  Language, second language, individuals and societies, experimental sciences, mathematics and computer science, and the arts.  In addition to the curricular areas of the IB Programme, 2010 IB Graduatesstudents are required to complete a 4,000 word extended essay and complete 150 hours of community, action and service hours.  Overall, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is designed for international recognition.
