Library Quick News

Congratulations to Battle of the Books team who competed last Wednesday, April 16th at Ben Davis High School.

Maren Doll, Maureen Kesterson-Yates, John Kansky, Chris Fitzgerald, Marita Stapleton, Anika Kansky, Alex Piccione, and Coach Jenny Herron all had a blast doing Battle!

Come down and win a full size candy bar by matching first lines from books to their titles!  The window display outside the library has it all listed, the librarian has the matching sheet.READ 5 BY 5/5 FOR $5!!

What?  5 bucks for reading 5 books by May 5, 2014 AND free lunch with your fellow readers!  Just see the librarian to sign up!  Of course you can!

Our casual book club, the Page Brigade, meets Fridays during lunches in the library workroom.  This group spawns our Battle of the Books team for spring.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Cathedral High School Library is to encourage and support students and staff in their quests for knowledge and good books.  We provide access to resources to meet their needs, and to help develop the information literacy skills necessary for lifelong reading and independent  learning.

  • Over 11,000 print books, 1,400 video titles, and access to over 2,000,000 items through our IMCPL catalog

  • Dowloadable ebooks & audiobooks for iPad or other reading device

  • 4 Daily Newspapers

Cathedral High School has been a partner of the Indianapolis Public Library since 1995.  Our library card is the public library card. The holdings of the Cathedral High School Media Center can be seen online at the IMCPL website.

A special feature of this partnership is students and staff may request material from throughout the IMCPL network.   Material is then delivered to the Cathedral High School Media Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
